Do not believe wearing gold

Norway's medal haul in the Olympics: Do not believe in wearing gold
Medals from 329 exercises will be awarded during the Olympics in Paris. Well-known Sports Illustrated believes that Norway is running away with six of them.
True to tradition, the American sports magazine Sports Illustrated has predicted the outcome of all exercises in the Summer Olympics.

According to the magazine, Norway has good medal chances in Paris. Among the six medals they think Norway will walk away with, two of them are gold medals.

Sports Illustrated believes Jakob Ingebrigtsen will take the gold in the 1500 meters ahead of Timothy Cheruiyot (silver) and Josh Kerr (bronze). The new dad is in great shape, and recently improved his own European record in the 1500 meters when he ran in a time of 3:26.73.

The second Norwegian gold medal they believe goes to weightlifter Solfrid Koanda in the women's 81 kg class. The 25-year-old has previously won both WC and EC gold.
In the dress rehearsal before the Olympics, Karsten Warholm had to settle for second place in the 400 meter hurdles during the Diamond League event in Monaco.

Before him came Rai Benjamin from the USA. With a time of 46.67, the American ran six hundredths faster than Warholm.

Sports Illustrated predicts that the outcome will be the same in Paris. They put Brazilian Alison dos Santos in third place.
The number crunchers at Gracenote Nielsen have previously predicted that Denmark and Sweden will crush Norway in the number of medals in the Paris Olympics.

In the analysis, the company has predicted that Norway will take eight medals, of which four are gold medals.
The remaining are two silver and two bronze, which is exactly the same as from the Olympics in Tokyo three years ago.

Norway has the largest squad for a summer Olympics in 52 years.

Should there be six medals, as Sports Illustrated predicts, there are still fewer than the Olympic summit's goal.

100 days before the Olympics they stated that the goal is eight medals.

In the Tokyo Olympics four years ago, Norway won eight medals: Four gold, two silver and two bronze medals.

Nigeria fines Meta $220m for violating consumer, data laws

Nigeria fined Meta Platforms $220 million, its competition watchdog said on Friday, after investigations showed data-sharing on social platforms violated local consumer, data protection and privacy laws. Nigeria's Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) said Meta appropriated the data of Nigerian users on its platforms without their consent, abused its market dominance by forcing exploitative privacy policies on users, and meted out discriminatory and disparate treatment on Nigerians, compared with other jurisdictions with similar regulations. Meta did not immediately comment, but the FCCPC said in a statement that the company had provided some documents and have retained counsels who have met and engaged with the agency. FCCPC Chief Adamu Abdullahi said the investigations were jointly held with Nigeria's Data Protection Commission and spanned over 38 months. The investigations found Meta policies don't allow users the option or opportunity to self-
